The staff made this stay easy from the moment I arrived. Everyone I spoke with greeted me, checked that things were going well, and helped sort out any issues. The front desk woman was especially kind when I arrived around 6pm from Koriyama station after a long day, even though my Japanese was very broken. I booked through Booking.com that same day as a solo traveler. The hotel is a short walk from Utsunomiya station and close to several tourist spots, and at $40 USD a night it felt like great value. I stayed three nights. The room was small but neat, and at 6'4 I still fit in the shower. The bed felt a little firm, though I can be picky about that. Breakfast was served each morning, with both Western-style and Japanese-style dishes. The menu repeated, as you'd expect, but there was enough choice that it wasn't an issue. I'd happily recommend this hotel for solo travel. Thanks for a really good stay.

We stayed here with our 15-month-old toddler. The room was a standard hotel size, clean and nice, and the hotel is near Utsunomiya Station. They gave our daughter children's amenities, and some of the receptionists understood basic English. Great.

Food places are close and easy to get to, and the train and bus station are right nearby. The foyer is calm, with welcoming staff. Our room was spacious, clean, and tidy, though there was no coffee in it. I'd recommend this hotel to solo travelers or couples without much luggage, especially if you don't plan to spend lots of time in the room.

Getting here by train is really convenient, and there are plenty of gyoza places around. The rooms are huge and the service is nice. Driving is the downside: there isn't enough parking, and nearby lots are often full.

It's handy for the station, and while the room is small, it's fine for sleeping. The bathroom toilet is cramped and could be hard to use depending on your build. The amenities also feel lacking compared with other hotels nearby.
