The squid was delicious, and the platter shown in the photo was a two-person portion from the squid-filled plan. The boat-shaped platter photo is from a later visit and shows a three-person serving. I liked the balance of food, facilities, and price enough to come back with my family soon after my first visit with a friend, when we’d gone looking for good fish. Our second-floor room was clean and spacious. The sink, bathroom, and toilet are shared, and I liked the tiled area around the sink. Meals are served in a large hall on the first floor, with sliding doors separating guests. The north side of the building has the parking lot. There’s Wi-Fi, and the bath closes at 10 PM. Smoking isn’t allowed inside, so smokers have to use the area by the entrance. I was disappointed there was no BS channel or vending machine, but I’d stay again.
The inn is old, but it’s kept up well and still feels comfortable. I’ve been coming here for 40 years, since my student days, and the fresh, luxurious sashimi and homemade side dishes are as good as ever. Breakfast is hearty enough to have three bowls of rice with the dried horse mackerel and miso soup. In winter, I come for crab.
The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. Dinner had lots of different dishes, and I enjoyed all of them. The rice was the one letdown: it smelled and felt hard, maybe because it was left over from the day before.
I booked at the last minute and had a great stay. Next time I’d like to treat myself to a room with meals included.
The weather was a shame, but hopefully we can enjoy the ocean next time. Thanks for the delicious meal. The whole family had a relaxing time.
