The hotel has a great atmosphere, and my family and I stayed in a clean tatami-style room. The owner gave us decent breakfast and service. He’s older and now runs the place with his children, or grandchildren, but that gives it a unique vibe. Parking is limited, and there’s no lift. I’d be happy to come back.

The women running the place couldn’t have been nicer. We arrived exhausted after missing our train connection and just needed a cheap place to crash. It was clean, had lots of space, and was close enough to places where we could get food before going to sleep. I think it’s actually a love hotel, but that didn’t bother us.

Every other hotel in town was booked, on a Tuesday, so I wound up here and really liked it. I was wiped out after a long bike ride and passed out in the super-comfortable bed, but there were lots of room features I wish I’d tried. There was a slot machine, a central lighting control panel that I’m guessing lets you choose different mood-lighting combinations, and a menu of foods they’ll deliver through a cutout in the door. The room’s decoration was pretty outrageous in a fun way. The Onsen-style bathroom was nice, and there were plenty of toiletries.

After a long day on foot, that deep full-size bath was just right, and it even had a TV in the bathroom. The room was a nice size, the staff were really friendly, and I thought it was good value. A fun place to stay.
