The house had everything we needed, and the setting was lovely. Our hosts made sure we had the information to enjoy the island. We were fortunate to stay in December 2017, and had a wonderful time. If you’re visiting Yakushima, staying at Views can make the holiday unforgettable.

We had lovely ocean views in the daytime and clear skies at night, and enjoyed the kitchen and bath amenities. The house is thoughtfully designed, well maintained, and completely private during your stay. The hosts were considerate, attentive, and respectful, and guests seemed to treat the home and hosts with the same respect. We had to leave a day early because a typhoon might be coming. Shoji was understanding and helpful, and suggested changing our travel plans so we could get off the island safely. 10 out of 10, it was perfect for our time on Yakushima.

The house is comfortable and has a distinctive design, with a lovely garden and even a rock you can climb on. The landlords live next door and were very friendly. They welcomed us with Yakushima's own Takan orange juice, pointed out sights and restaurants, and surprised us with homemade gelato one evening. A very warm recommendation!

The hosts were genuinely kind, and the house was cozy, spotless, and very well equipped. It also has a beautiful view. I’d absolutely recommend staying at Views when you visit Yakushima.
