The inn is a handmade house built by a couple, tucked into nature, and it has such a warm, woody smell. My friends made my dream of visiting Yakushima come true, and this stay made me grateful for the people I met there too. The owner, Yoko, was the best part for me. She’s bright, caring, and generous, and I fell for her right away. I’d love to come back next year. Thank you for everything ♡♡♡

A cute cat lives here, and the owner was so kind, sharing tips about Yakushima and places to see around the island. I had a really enjoyable time and definitely want to return. I had the quiet, secluded house all to myself, tucked into the mountains off the main road. Wood scent filled the air, and I could look out at mountains and greenery from the windows and enjoy the slow pace.

We could rent the whole house, so we didn’t have to worry about other people, which was great on my trip to Yakushima with a friend. The room was clean and the owner’s cats were adorable. The owner was incredibly friendly and taught us so much about Yakushima. That made our trip really fulfilling. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit.

The owners recommended Bunka no Mori forest, and it was wonderful. There are also supermarkets and hot springs within walking distance, though they take a little while to reach. The house was built by the owners, and the natural setting gives it a lovely atmosphere. Mt. Mochomu rises right in front, and fireflies were flitting around the nearby stream. By chance, I got to have dinner with the owners’ family and friends. They were all wonderful people, and I had a great time with them.

I met the owner by chance while hiking in Yakushima’s mountains, and he looked after me really well. His suggestions for nearby hot springs and places serving Yakushima food were a big help. The accommodation was roomy, very clean, and smelled lovely of wood. I stayed one night on my own this time, but next visit I’d like to come for several days with a group.
