The building is a bit old, but the view is lovely and you can use the onsen for a reasonable price.

For just 550 JPY, you get an onsen with a sauna and an outdoor bath.

We had lunch in a private room for my best friend's husband's 70th birthday, with a prawn course that was delicious. The room looked out over the sea, a lovely sight from this mountaintop location. Since we'd booked the private room, we could also use the hot springs for free. The view from the open-air bath was spectacular, and I was so happy to soak there looking out at the sea. I'd love to come back.

I came here during “Yamaguchi's Mystery Walk 3,” not for an overnight stay. The resort-like view was amazing, even though I rarely get out to this area. Afterward I headed west, a direction I'd also checked out with binoculars.
