For a surprisingly low price, this is a really good onsen hotel right in the middle of a small city. We had a nicely sized traditional Japanese room and excellent local food. The open-air onsen was great, too. The receptionist spoke English, and the dining room servers did their best to explain the dishes using Google Translate. Parking was free. We'll be back!
Dinner made with locally sourced food was a nice touch, and it was quiet at night. The hotel is conveniently close to the historical area. Here's a picture of the view from the sixth floor.
