Cafe & Auberge Rikyu

We came for a meal rather than a room stay. The lake view is lovely, and it’s worth giving the place a try. At first the food choices caught us off guard, but we were glad we stayed. The dishes looked pretty ordinary, yet tasted surprisingly good. Service wasn’t fantastic. We understood that the salad bar, drinks, and cutlery were self-service, but the server wasn’t very helpful when we needed assistance.

I went for the atmosphere, and the cafe delivers with its lakefront setting. The food was OK, and the service was good.

The view is beautiful, and the vegan dishes were delicious. The staff were really kind to us, and service was quick. We had a great time at the Cafe-Restaurant, thank you!

You can bring your dog and eat outside on the wooden deck. For lunch, we had soy meat with grilled vegetables and vegan pasta. The meal comes with a salad bar and a drink. One thing to keep in mind if you’re driving, the parking lot may be full.
