We didn’t get to see Fuji because of the clouds, but the cosy hotel was a lovely experience in itself. The Japanese-style room was clean and spacious, and the staff were so friendly. The onsen was a nice bonus, and breakfast was delicious, with something different each day. Adored this place 💓 Would return, hopefully with the views next time! 😌

It was a good stay overall. Having a private toilet and bathroom would have made it better.

The hotel is a little old, with shared bathrooms and showers, but the tatami rooms were very clean and felt like home. The husband and wife who run it are both incredibly warm and kind. She speaks fluent English, so we had no trouble communicating, and he was especially helpful. When we wanted to catch the sunrise, they called a taxi for us. Later, we realized we’d left our room key in the car, and they weren’t upset at all. They also got up very early to make a delicious breakfast for the guests. I was rushing this morning and didn’t get to say goodbye. I’m sorry for the trouble, and I hope they see this! 🥺🥰 If you’re on a budget and want to see Mount Fuji from Lake Yamanaka, this is a great option. Highly recommended!
