Set among the town's wooded areas, the hotel had a pretty nice view. Our two-bed room was spacious, and the manager was a thoughtful gentleman who was always ready to help :)

Yoshi really made the stay easier. He gave useful suggestions for places to eat around beautiful Lake Yamanakako and for sights farther away. When we needed medical help, he typed the information we needed in Japanese and called a taxi. It was raining when we left, so he even drove us to the bus station. The hotel has the usual amenities and serves a great breakfast in a homey, personal space. It sits by light woodland and adventure camp sites, so it seems best for people who like exploring on foot. I'd recommend it to adventure seekers.

I've come back several times with family and friends, and the owner has always been kind and accommodating. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hospitality is excellent. Breakfast is delicious, and I especially love the amazing view from the restaurant. I'd happily stay here again when I visit Lake Yamanaka.

The food, which was included with our family stay, was delicious and the kids were very happy with it. The room itself was dim, though, and it would've been nice if the air conditioning had been on before we checked in. It was humid and hot when we arrived. Apart from that, things were fine.

The breakfast was really delicious, and you can see Mt. Fuji from the dining room where it's served, though not from the guest room window. If you need hot water, you can ask for a pot. WiFi is available, and the shared toilet on the first floor has a washlet. The in-room bathtub is tiny, and that toilet has neither a washlet nor a heated seat, but I wasn't inconvenienced. There's a smoking area by the entrance, which stays open until 11:00. I was also glad they dealt sincerely with my lost-item inquiry. It's a quiet villa area surrounded by nature, with access on a paved road from National Route 413. Deer cross the road, and I heard hawks, Japanese bush warblers, Japanese bush warblers, and red-streaked starlings singing. Restaurant Koshiji is nearby and walkable. I'd like to stay here again.
