Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel

Soaking in the hot spring in the morning and looking out at magnificent Mt Fuji was a real joy. We had arrived around 6pm in winter, after dark, and chose the hotel's western dinner course, which we enjoyed very much. Service was excellent everywhere, from reception to the restaurant. We stayed one night, and Fruit Park Fujiya impressed me so much that I was surprised it only has a 3-star rating.

I love Japanese culture, so getting to stay in a tatami room, enjoy the onsen, and eat Japanese food at the hotel restaurant made me very happy. The place really does look like a park, and the view is great. If I get the chance to visit Yamanashi prefecture again, I'd definitely come back.

Set high above a fruit orchard in Yamanashi, this hotel has incredible views. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there are several restaurants on site, both American and Japanese style. They were also happy to help us arrange a taxi or sort out whatever we needed.

We stayed in a western-style room, which was a good size, with comfortable beds and a large window. The hotel sits in a beautiful spot above the Yamanashi Valley, and the staff were very kind and helpful. There's a public bath in the building, but we didn't use it because my friend has tattoos, which aren't allowed. Getting here pretty much requires a taxi or car, and a taxi can get expensive without your own car. There is an amazing onsen farther up the mountain that everyone should check out.
