The room was clean and a decent size, and the AC worked well. I also liked having free soda and coffee in the lounge. It’s an easy walk from the train station and very close to a boat cruise company, which was the main reason I came to this small town. Service was great, and they let me check in as soon as I arrived. I’d worried a bit because the place had lower ratings than I usually choose, but I ended up having a great stay. My one complaint was a sign about not using outside food, even though there was a microwave and toaster. I couldn’t tell if I’d misunderstood it or if it only meant the toaster, but I don’t think that should be a rule. It’s a good base for the boat cruise, though I wouldn’t suggest staying more than two nights since there isn’t much to do in town.

In quiet Yanagawa, the lounge was a nice place to sit, relax, and have some sparkling wine. The room was a decent size, with a layout that let us open a large suitcase, and the bathroom and shower were separate. There’s private parking too. The hotel is easy to spot, with the river cruise operator right beside it. If that’s what you’re here for, you can walk over after waking up and get tickets.

It’s near the station and other amenities, and the staff are friendly and speak English. The one drawback for me was the very small toilet.
