Dinner was the real standout. Every bite had a different, full flavor, and I just couldn't stop eating. The food held its own against any Michelin-star restaurant I've visited. The building and room are a bit old. The setting is unusual, and it was fun exploring the temple grounds and mountain. They offer a shuttle if you ask in advance.

A very traditional ryokan in a beautiful, ancient setting. The food, location, and service were amazing, and the hosts were wonderful and happy to help. Highly recommended.

A really beautiful ryokan in peaceful surroundings, with a well-balanced Buddhist vegetarian meal.

The room was in excellent condition, and the owners were really friendly. I stayed two days and had breakfast and dinner, with a different menu each time. The food was clean and delicious. It was a truly satisfying stay, and I'd love to visit again.
