The compact rooms are functional, with double beds and electric massage chairs. Every room is non-smoking and has WiFi, and frozen breakfast is included. Each container is independent, so you get comfortable private time. It’s a new kind of mobile container hotel, with a business model that can let it operate in disaster-stricken areas when disaster strikes.

A nice place to stay and rest for a while. I’m only nitpicking, but I guess there could be more TV channels in Japan :D The bathroom AC was a bit loud, and a train passes by now and then.

The rooms are cute, with good AC and surprisingly nice bathtubs. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. It’s a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station, and about an hour’s ride to Kumamoto station. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We’re travelling around Japan for a month and wish we’d found this company sooner. The Yard welcomed us with food and drinks, and the rooms and laundry area were spotlessly clean.

The container was clean and pretty well equipped. There’s a self-service laundry and a vending machine near reception, and we could park the car right in front of the container.
