Hotel C.Kohoku

The bathroom smells like sewage, the sink area is cramped, and there's hair left by the previous guest. The toilet is dirty too, and the cleaning just isn't thorough. The place is very dusty and clearly old. Why not clean it properly? I should've gone to the apartment next door.

It's up a hill on a narrow residential street near IKEA. The parking area can fit up to three cars, so it isn't small. The building feels a little old, but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. They also have short stays available around the clock.

After browsing furniture until my feet hurt, that huge bathroom is such a relief. Please thank the president for making it so big! ^^ Sometimes we only realize after getting in the bath that something's missing, because we're hopeless about checking first. This time, the body scrub that should've been in the bathroom wasn't there. We told the front desk, checked the dressing room, and still couldn't find it, so a woman around my age kindly brought one up right away. Sorry I opened the door while you were bathing. I thought it was a thrilling opportunity... Little moments like that become fun memories and make me want to come back!!! There's a huge Swedish furniture store nearby, and they even serve a meal inside. I always end up window shopping until closing. Productive weekend! Whenever I drive there, I stop by this hotel to sweat it out before heading home. lol I've been coming countless times since before it was renovated and renamed. Sunday nights can be fully booked, but that's what happens at any lovely, popular place. I always go thinking it's like a sure-fire lottery! The only room available was a bit pricey, but it wasn't my wallet, so I tapped without worrying! ^^! We got a free drink and picked some hair-care products before going upstairs. I saw you at the Swedish furniture store, lol. Since the renovation, the rooms are absolutely perfect, clean, stylish, and always have something to learn from. The only thing missing is money...

The room itself was clean and relaxing, and I loved the tasteful cups and bath salts. I think I'll come back in a quieter season. The website mentioned special rates during busy periods like Obon, but didn't show the actual price. I was surprised at check-in, thinking, "Huh? It costs this much...?" Like others have said, breakfast was extra and there weren't any accommodation perks, which was disappointing. The tablet lets you watch YouTube, which is nice, though I wish the TV had it too. I guess that's just how it is.
