JR East Hotel Mets Premier Yokohama Sakuragicho

This three-star hotel deserves more credit. The service, room quality, and location beat some better-known hotels. Our flight got us there well before check-in, and the hotel couldn’t offer early access, but luggage storage worked out fine. You can pick up the available amenities in the lobby, and they also gave us two bottles of water for free. The room had a Dyson air purifier and fan, plus a Dyson hairdryer. It was small, as is typical for hotels in Japan, but the bed was super comfortable. I’d consider staying with the same brand again.

The breakfast option came as tickets. You could use them for the buffet or later at the restaurant, up to the buffet’s price, which I believe was 1850 JPY. I tried the buffet once, but since I’m not much of a breakfast person, I used the tickets for drinks with friends at the restaurant instead. Sakuragicho station is easy to reach, and it’s one stop to Yokohama station. There’s also a direct trip from Sakuragicho to Akihabara. The check-in area has lots of free amenities, and there are washing machines that cost 600 JPY for wash and dry at the time of this post. You can even follow the laundry’s progress live on the TV in your room.

The staff sorted out a small mix-up with my reservation, and I really appreciated their help! The location is convenient, within walking distance of Sakuragicho Station and the Collete-Mare Mall. I highly recommend staying here!

JR-East Hotel Mets Premier Yokohama was better than I expected. Its location right next to the station makes getting around very easy. The rooms are modern, spotless, and surprisingly spacious for Japan, with a sleek design and useful details like USB ports, humidifiers, and quality toiletries. Staff were polite, professional, and always helpful. It’s a solid Yokohama choice for comfort, convenience, and value.
