HOTEL LiVEMAX Yokohamaeki-Nishiguchi

The sheets and pillow were yellow, and the pajamas were old and yellow too. I didn’t feel comfortable. There weren’t many amenities, not even sachets of coffee or tea. I understand there’s a coffee shop attached, but it was closed for the public holiday. I could hear noise from outside, maybe because the gap under the door was too wide. Also, they don’t let you leave luggage after checkout, so it isn’t luggage-friendly.

It was a nightmare vacation, especially with my fiance pregnant. The floor was dirty, and the bed looked old and yellow. They advertise fake room sizes: ours was a single room with a bed taking up most of the space, but they called it a semi double. The hotel is far from the nearest transport and isn’t luggage-friendly. There were plenty of empty rooms, but when we asked to pay for an upgrade, they charged us three times the price on top of what we’d already paid. This hotel is ripping people off. Don’t go near it, even if you’re desperate. Worst nightmare of my life. I should have read the Google reviews earlier.

The listing said English was OK, and I’d requested early check-in or somewhere to leave luggage. At the desk, neither was available, and the woman said Japanese only, even though I was trying my best with broken Japanese and a translator app. The worst hotel experience I’ve had in Tokyo. Stay away.
