Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Sakuragicho

The location was convenient and quiet, the staff were responsive and helpful, and the room was a reasonable size with sufficient, functional amenities. We stayed two nights before a cruise. Breakfast was included and adequate, though it wasn’t a large spread. We bought Yokohama air cabin tickets, but the service wasn’t running. Even though the tickets said “non-refundable,” the hotel happily refunded the fare. The bath and shower are very deep, which could be difficult for someone who needs to climb over the edge. A handle would help.

The welcome was really friendly, and the room was a good size, with nice little touches and everything well equipped. The bed was large, though very firm, and the pillows were firm as well. Breakfast tasted good, but I’d go earlier in the sitting for the freshest food and best choice. We were very pleased with our stay.

I stayed one night on 29 Sep. The room was small but felt airy and comfortable, and I loved it. The staff were so kind and nice. The location was not bad. Thank you for taking such good care of tourists like us.

The rooms are clean, carefully organized, and surprisingly quiet at night even with the city below. Staff are extra friendly, the kind who bow so low you feel like a minor daimyo returning from battle. The mattress, though, is hard. Really hard, like sleeping on an oak plank in a Zen monastery. Your chiropractor might approve, but your hips might not. You’re in Yokohama to get out and see things, though, not lounge in bed watching Netflix. There’s a lot nearby: the waterfront, Cup Noodle Museum, Red Brick Warehouse, and the giant ferris wheel. At night, Korea Town is close for grilled meats and soju, and Noge food alley (google it) has locals drinking, shouting, and smoking in alleys full of six-seat izakayas and standing bars. That’s an experience anime can’t teach you. If you need a soft bed, you might want to pay triple at an international chain. For location, precision, and a home base for a real Yokohama adventure, this place works. Bring a yoga mat if you want something softer than concrete under your back.
