I only booked one night, and the room felt like a pretty poor fit for a business traveler, with two beds. No one explained where to get a toothbrush, towel, or slippers. I wondered if my being a foreigner had left them unsure what to do.

The low rates and really good breakfast were the positives. The rooms feel very dated, though, and the carpet at least needs replacing.

The hotel looks great. Yokote train station is about 1.5 km away, and city hall is roughly 1 km away.

The complimentary curry was tasty, though the flat plates made it a bit awkward to eat. You can also easily set up YouTube on the monitor in your room. Women can't use the large public bath, but there are some nice women-only extras, including complimentary amenities and rentals like chanterelles, Leafa irons, and hair dryers. I ended up renting all of them.

The first-floor bath was comfortable and available, and I didn't mind the bath in my room either. At breakfast, there was plenty to choose from, and they cooked eggs fresh for me. I also enjoyed the free evening curry, which is self-service until 9 pm. I used it as a business hotel. It seems like an older place, so it may not suit you if newness and cleanliness are top priorities.
