The dinner was really good, with such a variety of dishes that it felt like visiting 5 different places in Japan through the food. Get an Orion beer too, they serve it on draft. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily, and the A/C was welcome in the heat and humidity. It's a quick walk to a nearby beach for snorkeling or riding the local horses, even in the water. This simple, traditional Japanese hotel is the only one with a bathroom in the room. The service came with a smile, and I can't say enough about how kind-hearted the people of Yunaguni are.

The hotel is clean and central, and breakfast was good. The woman serving it was lovely. But the toilet leaked noisily the whole time, making it impossible to sleep. At ¥15,000 b+b for 2, I think better value is available. They offer airport pickup and drop-off, like all the hotels, but the driver opened the boot and silently waited while we loaded our own bags. On checkout, the young longhaired driver/receptionist did the same at the hotel, drove us wordlessly to the airport, then opened the boot and waited again. No thanks for staying or question about how it was. It felt like an Adams Family hotel. I presented my credit card at checkout and was told they don't take cards. Nobody mentioned that at check-in, where we had no conversation at all. If we'd known, we could have withdrawn cash. Instead, it became unnecessary drama.

A clean, pleasant motel with fast Wi-Fi and decent food. I felt I got my money's worth.

The guest rooms are upstairs on the second floor, above the front desk and the Southern Call restaurant on the ground floor. There's no elevator, so you'll be using the stairs 😅 The rooms are small but have a bathroom and toilet. The toilet seat was cold and had no bidet function 😵 There isn't a fridge in the room, but guests can use the shared one by the front desk. The room was clean, maybe because the owner is a bit of a neat freak. The windows had duct tape reinforcement 😵 Yonaguni Island has only one hotel.

The service was excellent. After I left something behind at checkout, I called and they kindly shipped it to me. I'm very grateful, and would like to stay here again on my next trip to Yonaguni Island. I spent three nights here and found the room very clean and tidy, with its own bath and toilet. Fresh towels were provided every day. There was a shared fridge with a freezer where I could keep food, drinks, and ice packs. The hotel sits on a slight hill, with views from my room of Kubura village, the ocean, and Nishizaki Lighthouse. Kubura Bali and the hill where you can see Japan's last sunset are close enough for an easy walk and morning or evening stroll. The village is also within walking distance for restaurants and shopping.
