I enjoyed talking with other travelers in the living room and made some friends there. They offer airport transfers and motorbike rentals, which made getting around convenient. Just keep in mind that not many restaurants or bars are open at night.

I came on September 25th, rented a car, and stayed at the guesthouse. The owner wasn't very sociable, but seemed efficient. He also had a good range of homemade maps and other useful things, which felt thoughtful. If a camp-like setting suits you, this is a good option.

I was happy to be able to rent a bike during my 3-day, 2-night stay. The room and shared areas were clean! Still, I wonder what that old man was doing, lounging around in the common area...

A nice place to get away from city noise and unwind with the sounds of nature. I had a comfortable 3-day, 2-night stay. The owner picked us up at the airport and looked after everything we needed, even though he didn't say much. As a foreigner, I found communication a little difficult, but that's part of the romance of visiting such a remote island, I think. If you'd rather eat nearby, Otomo Store's packed lunches are a good choice.
