The kitchen outside the room was handy if we wanted to cook, and having a refrigerator in the room was nice. Our room was roomy, the beds were comfortable, and the sheets were unbelievably soft. It was great to have a shower in the room, though having to go outside for the toilet wasn't ideal. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, especially since we didn't speak much Japanese. We'd definitely stay here again on Yonaguni.

The cancellation came just five hours before my flight. They said they were overbooked, then ignored my messages. Since it was peak season, there wasn't anywhere else to stay on the island. I'd booked 3-4 months earlier, been accepted, and received the instructions, so this left me having to cancel my flight, activities, and another island stay because of their irresponsibility. It's not worth risking the whole trip for a place that's only slightly cheaper. Horrible.

The location worked well for going out on foot, with several izakayas and a few cafes nearby. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was great. There are several room styles, but none has its own bathroom, so everyone shares one. If you get the room with a shower, you should be fine.
