Yonaguni Hotel Mumbu Higawahama

With three of us sharing the room, two chairs weren't quite enough when we gathered. Cushions or slippers would have made sitting on the floor more comfortable. Otherwise, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay again. The location is right by Dr. Koto's Clinic, with the ocean just in front. Our room was clean, the shower had great pressure, and the amenities were good. There were no pajamas. We had a comfortable stay ☺️

There's a broad sandy beach across from the inn, and I imagine the stars are beautiful at night. It was cloudy during our stay, so I hope for better weather next time. The rooms are in separate buildings, and the interiors were very clean. The shower and toilet facilities were better than you often find at remote island accommodation, and the air conditioning can be used freely. It's a long way from the airport, though only about a 10-minute drive in a rental car. There's a shuttle and the Yonaguni Island bus, so getting there without a car isn't too difficult. The slope across the island could make things hard if you're riding a rental bicycle. A related restaurant is right in front of the airport, and they offer a shuttle too, so you can have a drink while sightseeing by rental car.

We had a fun island tour, and there was plenty of room in the accommodation to spread out our luggage. The location was lovely, right by the ocean and across from Dr. Koto's Clinic. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The island felt peaceful, and we were very satisfied with our stay. Munbu also rents cars, so we were able to handle the rental paperwork at check-in and get it done smoothly. Flights arrive frequently, so there was a wait, but they called ahead to explain the situation on Yonaguni Island, which was helpful. The phone was hard to get through on, though, and contacting them via their official LINE account may be quicker. The property is a quiet spot right opposite the Dr. Koto's Clinic filming location. I was surprised at first by the container room, but inside it was very clean and had the basic necessities. As noted on the website, pajamas aren't provided. The only window coverings were roller shades, and I found them difficult to open during my stay despite the ocean view. Lace curtains would have suited the room better. Thank you!
