Breakfast was good, with a small choice of things like curry, salad, scrambled eggs, and natto. Otherwise, it's a standard place for a short stay, and it does the job. For a 3-star hotel in central Yonezawa, it was about what I expected, without anything in particular standing out. Parking was a problem. Like at many urban hotels, spaces were full when we got back from dinner, so we had to pay for parking. The room was fine, but its toilet had no bidet, and the shower started leaking after I turned it off.

This was the worst hotel we've stayed at in our six weeks traveling around Japan. The building and rooms are really old and weren't clean, and the mattresses were awful. Breakfast could be a lot better too. Way overpriced, and the place needs renovating.

Select Inn had a room when I needed one, which I appreciated since hotels in Yonezawa seem to book up fast. It's about halfway between Yonezawa Station and the historical sights around Uesugi Shrine and Matsugaseki Park. Yonezawa Beef, local restaurants, and the nightlife area are nearby, and the WiFi worked well enough. I also liked having a kettle and ceramic mug for coffee. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the building, rooms, and facilities are showing their age. I slept well enough, though the mattress and linen could use an upgrade.
