The cafe has a sweet, lovely atmosphere, with plenty of local books to browse, and the wait staff are adorable. Staying and eating here both cost very little, so the price is hard to beat. I tried the belly, a fresh dish with herbs and extra virgin olive oil, Japanese sausage, and a fried egg. There are a few other things on offer, though the choices are limited. At lunch they make the prettiest little desserts. The Japanese coffee is strong enough to taste like coffee.

Lunch runs from 11:30 to 2, with a choice of two delicious curries, Indian and Thai style. It’s well worth stopping by. This lovely little cafe is only open from 6 to 9 in the morning, so you’ll need to get up early. The coffee is great, and I liked the atmosphere too.

The owner and staff were welcoming, and it was fun chatting with them. Locals also pop in for coffee, so it’s clearly popular with people nearby. It’s a stylish little coffee shop with a simple menu. My breakfast was just right: thick toast with butter, a small salad, sausage, and coffee, all for 550 yen. There’s also minshuku-style accommodation, though I didn’t review that.

I’ll remember the two nights I spent here. The owner was very kind, and the food and coffee tasted great. The dorm beds were neat and clean, and the price was reasonable. If you’re coming just for the cafe, check its opening hours first.

I only went to the cafe, where everyone working there was polite and kind. They know some favorite spots on Yoron Island and can share information if you’re visiting. The hostel and cafe are run by an Italian husband and Japanese wife who speak English and Italian. The cafe also has Wi-Fi, along with several Italian foods and drinks.
