The caretaker was really friendly. We stayed in the main house with a friend's family, and the old house visible from the gatehouse was a lovely place to stay. It’s in a quiet area, so with small children you may need to keep a few things in mind. There aren’t any meals provided, so pick up supplies at a nearby convenience store or Don Quijote before you arrive.

Staying inside that huge gate felt like waiting at a fort during the Sengoku period, and the inn had the feel of an old farmhouse. Mr. Saisan was so welcoming. He chatted with us and offered advice during the barbecue, which became our best memory from Golden Week. The service was excellent, and we’d love to come back.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I arrived in the evening after calling the manager because I didn’t know the way, and they greeted me so kindly. I was with three high school students, and they even let us have a BBQ. That was really kind of them.
