Hotel Toyota Castle

Breakfast had great choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The hotel is very nice and sits just a few meters from the train station, so it’s a great place to stay if you’re in Toyota city. The downside is the water. They provide just one 500ml bottle for the whole stay, not one each day.

There are lots of shops within walking distance, so we got a lot of shopping done. The parking facility is right next to the hotel. You take a ticket and have the front desk staff verify it on a machine each time you park, which is fairly convenient. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was great, with both Japanese and American options. I also liked the display of shirts signed by players in the breakfast area.

I’ve stayed at Toyota Castle many times for business, and it’s been dependable as usual. The one thing missing is convenient gym access. It would be great if they partnered with a local gym or had one on site.

The rooms are quite big by Japanese standards, and have all the facilities you need. Food-wise, there are plenty of choices if you eat seafood, meat, pork, or beef. Vegetarians don’t get much beyond fruit, bread and butter, and corn flakes. I’ve stayed here many times.
