We loved the outdoor onsen, and the two bedrooms were huge. There are five queen-sized beds, so it could theoretically sleep up to ten, though it was very comfortable for the four of us. The villa has two onsen baths and is nicely priced, with everything we needed provided. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful riverside walk into Yufuin village in April. If you’re driving, mark the parking spot on the main road. You can’t drive down the small lane, and the walk from the lot is short, a little gravelly, but manageable.

The kitchen made it easy to cook the food we bought at Yufuin Aeon Mall, and we came away with lots of great memories. We had a lovely time soaking together in the large open-air hot spring. The house has two spacious rooms and five double beds, so our family of eight was comfortable. There’s also one small bathroom, which was a bit disappointing but didn’t cause too much trouble. The place is a little away from Yufuin’s main streets. It looks even better in person, so I wish I’d taken some decent photos.

The place was quiet, with houses all around, and we could still walk to the convenience store in about seven minutes at night. It’s around seven minutes on foot from Yufuin Station, though it gets dark, so buy what you need before heading back. Great for families or a group of friends. There are five double beds, air conditioning in each room, two showers, and both an indoor and outdoor hot spring. My friends and I were happy with the stay overall. The one letdown was having only one bathroom. Going together was fun :)

The open-air hot spring was nice, and they had gas barbecue equipment, a washing machine, and parking close to the accommodation. It’s secluded and quiet, though also a bit far from Yufuin’s main street for getting around on foot. The place wasn’t pretty inside or out, but the facilities were clean and maintained. The pots should be replaced. The interior was extremely cold. One of the two rooms had an oil heater that smelled so strongly of oil it was unusable, and running another heater tripped the breaker. The breaker also went when we used the hair dryer at the same time. The wall-mounted heater made such a loud, airplane-taking-off noise that I kept waking up. There’s just one bathroom and absolutely no amenities nearby. The manager was quick to contact me about extra charges, but after I paid, they either didn’t answer my questions or took a long time to reply. Given the high cost, I didn’t find it good value.
