The onsen was a pleasure, and our room had a small private one of its own. The food was excellent and the hospitality fantastic. It was a wonderful place to relax, and I'm sure we'll come back. July 22-23 2025

The onsen water comes from the establishment itself, and it left my skin feeling very smooth. The food was definitely top-end. They have English-speaking staff and a pickup shuttle, but they don't respond to email enquiries. Make sure your phone can call Japan and contact them directly.

The blue "aoyu" spring water made my skin feel super soft and smooth, a noticeable effect I didn't get from the other hot springs. Some rooms come with their own outdoor spring bath, and the spring water is pumped into the tubs. Dinner kaiseki was okay, but breakfast was better. The tub in our room was a bit worn and could probably use resurfacing, which is why I took off a star. Still, it's worth staying for that special spring water.

It's a quiet, charming place that feels close to nature, just what you'd expect from a Japanese onsen hotel. Overnight guests get a private soaking tub for 40 minutes at no charge, and there are three public hot spring rooms too. Cold drinks, coffee, and tea are free. We loved the place and would recommend it for a relaxing spa trip. We found out that food has to be reserved three days ahead, but the website hadn't given us that information.

Tattooed guests can't use the public bath, but we would definitely stay here again. The in-room open-air bath was lovely and great for tattooed guests.
