The staff were warm and smiling, and the lovely view helped us relax. We felt at home during our stay. We don’t speak Japanese, but the staff did their best to look after us, and the free shuttle was helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. On our cold, rainy check-in day, there was hot water ready in the kettle before we arrived. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

A nice place to experience Japanese nature and Kaiseki. They’ll pick you up from JR yunohira station before 5:20 p.m., and you can reach the station from yufuin by JR train. One thing that needs attention is the smell from the boiler at onsen, which matsuya should improve.

A real hidden gem, with beautiful views and private onsens that are a great size.

The staff were great, the hot spring was good, and the meal was fine.

It’s a bit out of the way, but the onsen resort staff were warm and attentive to the details. The food was amazingly good. What stood out most was the private outdoor onsen, which is hard to find around the region. We slept really well on the tatami bedding! 😊
