This is a clean Japanese house with everything you need, set on a small hill behind Kinrin Lake. The style feels like the 2000s. It’s nicely located for couples or a group of friends, and a morning walk around the lake is a bonus. Getting there takes some effort: the stairs from the main road are good exercise if you’ve got big 30-inch suitcases, and some of the roads are very narrow. I managed to drive through them during our two-night stay without trouble. Parking is a tight fit for a medium car and could be challenging for a large van with a big family. All in all, I’d give it about 3.5 stars.
