I've stayed at many luxury hotels in Japan and elsewhere, but this hotel and restaurant were unbelievably good. Everything felt just right, and the staff were polite and professional. I had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Thanks for the hospitality. One small wish: it would be great if they sold some of the things from the rooms, like pajamas and osake. I'd love to buy the sake from the minibar as a souvenir. Othello was fun.. I want to take it home.

The whole visit felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The cozy little house, riverside outdoor onsen, location, meals, and staff all made it feel perfect. Even when the whole neighborhood lost power, the staff kept dinner going with candles and lights, which made the evening especially charming. The most amazing hotel I've ever had the chance to visit.

I came alone for one night of rest, and the quiet, simple ryokan was just what I wanted. My room looked out over a beautiful river, and the attentive staff knew how to be helpful without intruding. Dinner in a separate dining room was delicious and creative. There are no shops, crowds, ads, or nudges to buy things, so you can take your time. If you feel like it, there's also a short hike in the nearby mountain.
