Ebisuya Ryokan

The room is cozy, and the owners are friendly and helpful. It's in a great spot for Yuzawa Park ski area, with discounted lift tickets and rentals available. The price includes two meals, station transfers both ways, and the onsen :)

The food was delicious, and breakfast and dinner came in generous portions. This cozy, clean, homey guesthouse is a one-minute walk from Yuzawa Ski Park. The owner was kind and friendly. Our room was a good size for two adults, with good heating we could adjust. The only real hassle was carrying luggage to the second floor because there's no elevator. Toilets are on both the first and second floors, with two toilets per room, which was enough. The public bath is open 4-10 PM and 6-8 AM. There are washing machines and vending machines on B1. Small towels are provided, but ask the owner for large bath towels. There was a slight vibration in the hallway when people walked. For ski rentals, the shop across the street run by an elderly man gives guesthouse guests a discount.

The landlady was very kind and gentle, and the ski resort was close with convenient transport. After skiing, the very hot bath was soothing and helped ease my fatigue. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful, luxurious, and delicious. The room was clean and tidy, the futon was warm, and the heating worked very well.
