The room was fairly spacious, but shabby, dirty, and smelly. The warm water faucet was broken, so we only had cold water. There was no private bathroom, just the public onsen, and the central heating was broken too. They had a portable heater instead, which gave off a smoky smell. This felt more like a stopover room than a two-star hotel, and it was badly maintained. At Rp 1.779.224,-/night, it was far too expensive, with no breakfast or pajamas. The couple who own it were friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the defects. They seemed stingy and far from professional in their hospitality. We won’t return. I’m surprised by the positive reviews. For us, it was a bad choice and felt like a trap.

We stayed a few days while skiing and enjoyed it a lot. The place isn’t luxurious, but the room was spacious and comfortable, the facilities were good, and the owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was substantial, the coffee was excellent, and there were plenty of nearby places to eat in the evenings.

The building is old, and there’s a faint old-house smell in the room, but the bed was spotless and smelled fresh. We chose a twin room with a private bathroom, and the temperature was just right. The bathhouse was small but great. The sweetest couple gave us wonderful service and breakfast, and they spoke English. I’d definitely stay again.

We stayed for a ski weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The onsen was lovely and warm, the beds were comfortable, and the owners were very helpful. It’s an easy walk to the slopes, and you can buy lift tickets and rent gear at the front desk. Breakfast is great value at 1200Yen, and they’ll have it ready at a time you choose.
