The stay was wonderfully calm, and both Zamami and the hotel were stunning. Little things in the room made it easy to settle in: a grinder, drip coffee kit, kettle, glassware, Okinawan coffee beans and tea, plus drinking water at reception. The room itself was roomy, tastefully done, and kept in great shape. There was AC and a dehumidifier, which really helped with the humidity and getting clothes dry. The bedding, towels, pillows, toiletries, and mattresses all felt superb. The pajamas were the best we've ever worn, so we bought a set from the hotel shop to take home. Breakfast started with a beautiful Japanese spread that seemed very high quality, almost like fine dining. We aren't used to much raw food, though, so it was a bit much for us. A staff member checked in and offered a Western breakfast, which they served us and most of the other foreign visitors on the following days. Staff were helpful, and the free rides to the beaches and ferry terminal were a real bonus. Some spoke more English than others, but we could generally get by without Japanese. Snorkeling gear and beach towels were free to borrow. The shared area also had showers, bathrooms, and an outdoor shower that came in handy before check-in and after checkout. A few more wardrobe hangers and hooks by the door would be useful, and I wish breakfast ran a little later. Those are small points, though. It was an amazing stay, and I'd highly recommend the hotel.
