Minshuku Yadokari

Tea, coffee, and water are included, and the breakfast was tasty. The place is clean and calm, with a lovely family atmosphere. The host was very friendly, and it's close to a beautiful beach. Highly reccomend!

The beach is just around the corner, and they even provided a free ride from the port. The staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing. On Zamami, it's hard to imagine finding better value for money.

Ama Beach is only about a two-minute walk away, and the guesthouse is in a quieter area than town. I liked staying out here better, though walking the 20 minutes into town under the hot sun can be a lot. There's a nearby place to rent bikes. If you're based in town, you'd still need to walk about 20 minutes to reach either Ama or Furuzamami beach. The meals are well worth opting into. Everything was delicious, carefully prepared, and well seasoned. After a day of travel or exploring, having home-cooked food was comforting, and it was a nice chance to talk with the owners and other guests. The hosts are warm and friendly, and often shared stories over breakfast or dinner. They've been welcoming guests for 20 years and clearly enjoy it. When we arrived by ferry, uncle met us at the port with a cute, hand-drawn sign. At the guesthouse, auntie greeted us cheerfully and showed us around. Everything was clean and well cared for, and their hospitality was thoughtful and accommodating throughout. This was the highlight of our Japan trip. We're already counting down until we can come back!

I was lucky enough to swim with turtles and tropical fish just a minute from Ama beach. That was the highlight! I prefer staying here over the centre. They arrange rides to and from the port, and there are free bikes to borrow too. Minshuku Yadokari has a lot of character. The owners and staff are warm, kind, and sociable.
