GLOCE Guest House Nagisa 5 mins from the station

We enjoyed our 16-night December stay. There were two of us, and a friend joined for one night. It was comfortable for four, though it can sleep up to six. We liked the spot, just a three-minute walk from Zushi train and bus station. It felt surprisingly quiet and private, since the unit occupies the entire second floor and has windows on all sides. Access is by a covered outdoor staircase. The place was very clean and stocked with plenty of consumables, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, laundry soap, dishwashing liquid, and toilet paper. We arrived around 6 p.m. and a company representative met us to explain everything. The furniture is simple but adequate, and the beds are firm and comfortable. WiFi worked without a hitch. There’s a TV on the kitchen/dining room wall, but we never used it. The laundry, shower, ofuro room, and toilet are unheated, like in many Japanese homes, which we expected and didn't mind. The Japanese guidebook is comprehensive, with key sections in English. The washer and dryer instructions are only in Japanese. The electric dryer isn't vented and takes a long time, but the lines and racks inside and out on the balcony help finish drying clothes. Two supermarkets are within a three-minute walk, and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops from 30 seconds to five minutes away.

The place is about a ten-minute walk from the beach and very handy for shops, a supermarket, and a 100-yen shop near the station. The room was clean and compact, with two bedrooms and a neat little bath. There was body soap, shampoo, conditioner, small and large towels, a washer and dryer, and detergent. It was well set up for cooking too, with dishes, cutlery, utensils, a toaster, microwave, and rice cooker. I'd like to stay here again.

We stayed two nights with our family of four and our small dog. The inn was very understanding about accommodating pets, and the room, toilet, and bathroom were all clean. It was close to the station and a supermarket, and reasonably close to a convenience store. Weekend drinkers returning late were so loud that they woke us nearly in the early morning, but I guess that couldn't be helped. We brought laundry detergent and were surprised to find some provided. I think salt was the only seasoning, and they also had cooking oil. There were plenty of cooking utensils and dishes, and we were very satisfied with the inn overall. It was hot and humid, with mosquitoes outside. It would have been even better if mosquito coils or liquid repellent had been available.

The current rule says people who aren't staying overnight can't come in and must go home. I'd like them to set a cutoff time so that family members who aren't staying can still come in and visit until then.
