Had a really nice time at amboseli gateway hotel. The garden was a lovely spot to sit, enjoy the surroundings, and have a refreshment brought over by a very smiley, welcoming lady. The place was clean, the pool looked good, and the rooms were neat and attractive. Staff made us feel welcome, and the food was delicious, prepared by organized chefs and nicely presented. It’s also very close to the park. I’d recommend a visit.

We were glad to leave, and the hotel felt very dark. We stayed two nights and won’t return. The room was advertised with a TV, but it didn’t work. When we asked a staff member to check it, he said he didn’t know how to fix it. The TV was mounted upside down, which was bizarre. The food also took ages to arrive, even when the restaurant seemed empty. The pool itself was okay, but there were no towels there. We had to ask someone, waited a long time, and I ended up walking back to my room soaking wet. Service overall was a serious problem. We’d seen other negative guest reviews and management replies apologizing and saying they were working on things, but during our stay similar problems came up, so those responses felt formulaic. It seemed like they replied to complaints without actually making improvements. We also noticed that after guests posted bad reviews, several glowing reviews appeared suddenly, which didn’t seem to reflect the hotel or staff. Maybe they were asking staff or friends to post positives, but we can’t know for sure. We had a bad stay, and it seems we’re not the only ones. Be aware.

I was glad to get out of there. The room had mosquitoes everywhere, and they didn’t provide any spray. Walking along the hotel corridors felt strange because staff left the doors open while our baggage was inside. Anyone could have gone into the room and taken things. The food was basic, with lots of items often unavailable. Worst of all was the service. The staff were painfully slow and inexperienced.

The staff at Amboseli Gateway Hotel were welcoming, professional, and ready to help, which made our stay especially enjoyable. After long days out, the clean, comfortable, well-kept rooms were a good place to rest. It’s peaceful and scenic, and conveniently close to the park if you’re exploring Amboseli. The restaurant and pool area were also nice spots to unwind in the evening. I’d happily stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, good service, and a calm atmosphere near Amboseli.

I won’t come back. Service here was seriously bad. It seemed like the staff either weren’t trained or didn’t care about their work or the guests. The reception employee appeared inexperienced, when anyone was actually at reception. Even getting food took at least an hour. Hard to believe a hotel could have this kind of attitude.
