New Zonic Hotel

The rooms are nicely furnished, and both the inside and outside of the hotel look good. But the service brings the experience down. Room attendants seemed untrained and didn’t care about guests, and the washroom had poor sanitation and no hot shower. In my experience, the rooms are overpriced for what you get: the 3000/= room should cost 2000, and the 2000/= one should be 1000. The wing leading to the 2000/= rooms also has old, worn walls. Management should address these problems if they want to keep customers.

They still serve food and have rooms and spaces for meetings, but the hotel has lost its former glory. It used to be one of Kisii’s great hotels back in the day, unfortunately that’s no longer the case.

It’s a good place to meet, but I wouldn’t come here to eat. Service was poor and unprofessional, and even a simple order took far too long. We waited about 45 minutes for tea, then after an hour the waiter came back to say there was no milk.

The hotel is well built, but it’s in miserable shape. Paint is literally peeling off the walls, and the garbage stench is unbearable. There’s no hot water, and the hygiene is questionable. Breakfast isn’t self-service, and they don’t have either Blue Band or jam. It’s really sad.
