The rooms are clean, there’s a hot shower, and the kitchen makes good meals that they’ll bring to your room. For 800KES a night for a single room, that feels fair. Just remember it’s 8km from the city center, and the road there is awful, dusty when it’s dry and crossed by streams when it rains. That’s not the hotel’s fault, though. There are crocodiles and other animals on the grounds that you can visit. The crocodiles stayed completely still while I was there. It can get a little noisy since the hotel is by a fairly busy road, but nothing too serious. For the price, the hotel itself is really good. I’d definitely recommend it. 👌

Order your food when you’re ready, and be sure to try the kienyeji chicken. There’s also a bar and plenty of secure parking. The resort sits beneath tall indigenous trees, where birdsong fills the air, and it keeps crocodiles on site too.

For my first time in Kisumu, this was a lovely, budget friendly find. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is delicious, and there are lots of outdoor spots to relax. Vivian was really proactive and efficient. You can see crocodiles here too, and it’s nice to visit with friends. The roads getting there aren’t great, but they’re manageable.

We couldn’t find the mountain view, and the road noise was hard to miss since the place is right beside a busy road. There was no proper reception, the staff weren’t helpful, the water wasn’t running, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. When we asked a staff member where to get dinner, she sent us to a shopping mall. Once we got there, the boda driver said it hadn’t opened yet and they were waiting for the president to open it. Very disappointing. Don’t go here.
