Erica Residences

Erica Residences feels like a home instead of a hotel, and the rooms are roomy enough for a family with kids or a group of adults. We've stayed several times and keep choosing it as our go-to Airbnb in Nairobi. Booking is straightforward, and the customer service is great. Staff, including the housekeeper when we needed a cleaning, were always available. If something was missing, we'd ask and they quickly brought it over. We'll be back.

Our group of eight stayed at Erica Residence in July, and we'd happily come back. Airbnb booking and communication with the roughly three hosts we dealt with went smoothly, and they were all helpful, responsive and accommodating. The amenities were as described, and the spacious kitchen and other facilities were great. It's a quiet area with easy access to many of the places we were visiting. We didn't use the washer, but when we asked how it worked, everyone, including the maid, was helpful. Bring your own detergent, though.

We got good value for money, and having a living room for three colleagues to relax together felt much homier than being stuck in separate rooms or a hotel lobby. The apartments are spacious and in a great location. The bathrooms need refurbishing: shower water sprayed everywhere, and only one of the three water heaters worked. Also, when a big family or group stays next door or upstairs, you can hear doors banging, children crying and loud talking late at night. In our case it went on until 2am.

I'd definitely recommend this place when you're visiting Nairobi Westland.
