Giraffe Manor

The care from everyone at Giraffe Manor showed up in so many small ways. There was a handwritten note in our room, a birthday cake and singing at dinner, and when I ruined my luggage tag, someone even brought a spare to the place where I was staying afterward. Faith, our waitress, knew the giraffes well, took lovely photos while we fed them, and made sure we had what we needed. We stayed in Lynn, which was spacious and luxurious, and the food was delicious. I loved the little details too, like the giraffe stencil on my cappuccino and the homemade snacks in the room. The Retreat was a peaceful spot for an afternoon swim and coffee. But the giraffes were the unforgettable part. Having breakfast and afternoon tea near them was magical, and feeding Waridi from our room at 6am felt surreal. I’d wanted to visit for years, and the experience exceeded what I’d hoped for. 10/10, I’d recommend it.

We spent a relaxing day at the Retreat at the Giraffe Manor, and the visit to the Giraffe Centre was included. Julius drove us around for the day and was very helpful, making sure we were comfortable. We also had a couples’ massage at the spa, and Susan and her colleague were wonderful. The restaurant team were excellent, and Ava at the front desk was great too. The property is beautiful and the day-use room was fantastic. It costs a bit, but we thought it was well worth it.

There are only about 12 guest spots, so book a long way ahead. I had an incredible stay and will remember it for the rest of my life. Feeding the giraffes and seeing them so close was amazing, and we even had breakfast near them. The staff were friendly and really accommodating, clearly keen to make the visit memorable. Such a cool, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

It felt like a dream, and the stay was worth every penny for anyone who's hesitating. The staff were so attentive and made us feel welcome, valued, and special. Thank you to the whole team for making it such a magical visit.
