I liked the food and drinks enough to go for dinner twice in three days, and I’m heading back for breakfast tomorrow. The Paneer Tikka Masala is delicious, especially with the divine mango chutney they serve alongside it.

We only came for dinner and didn’t stay at the hotel, but the restaurant was a lovely find. It’s set in a beautiful garden that feels close to nature, and the food was delicious. There’s a very good wine selection too. A great spot for authentic local cuisine.

The service really let down what could be a lovely visit. Staff took more than 10 minutes to respond after being called, and sometimes it seemed like they were avoiding eye contact and ignoring requests. That’s a shame, because Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages has charming gardens and a peaceful atmosphere that make it ideal for a relaxing outing. The setting is beautiful, and the food is good.

The lush green garden was a lovely, peaceful setting, and we enjoyed the views throughout our visit to Karen Blixen Hatton Gardens. Josephine looked after us with real kindness and patience. From the menthol scented hand towels at the start to the delicious meals, the service was incredible. The portions were definitely worth the buck. I enjoyed every bit of the day, thank you!

The place is beautiful, but I found the service horrible and the food disappointing. I expected better from the butter chicken, since it’s so well known here. Loise was our waitress and she was rude. The employees could use better training.
