Norfolk Towers Serviced Apartments

The room is a good size and has the basics, including a kitchenette and lounge area, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known it was on the third floor with no elevator. There’s no air conditioning, and although we could open the windows, none had insect screens. We arrived late at night after our flight to find just one towel for two guests and no hot water. There’s apparently a switch to turn on the hot water, but the room had no instructions, and reception only told us the next day when we asked. The location is noisy because it’s so close to major roads, and with the heat you need the windows open, so there’s no blocking it out. Wi-Fi was very slow.

A quiet, convenient, clean place, ideal if you need somewhere quick to crash in Nairobi or while backpacking. The apartments have a well-equipped kitchen with the appliances you need, so you can cook and store food during your stay. There’s also a washing machine and drying area in each unit.

The rooms need major renovation. The wardrobes were musty and dirty, and there was no hot water pressure at all. The WiFi never worked.

We had a really nice two-night stay in a two-bedroom apartment last week. It had a king bed in one room and twin beds in the other, plus a spacious living room with a balcony, full kitchen, dining table, smart TV, and internet. The location was good and the parking area was large. There’s also a pool, though we skipped it because it was too cold. The reception staff were nice, and the place is open 24 hours. We arrived at 3 a.m. and were able to check in. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
