The Sarova Stanley Hotel

We had a delicious lunch at the restaurant and a drink at the legendary cafe, along with time at the rooftop pool and bar. The room was spacious, the pool was heated, and my partner also enjoyed the sauna. Staff were always polite and smiling, and the meal was amazing. We were there just for a long day between flights and enjoyed everything. It’s a heritage hotel with a rich history, and we’d definitely stay again when visiting Nairobi.

The food and drinks were delicious, and the ambiance and decor are lovely. We came for lunch with friends, though, and the service fell short of what I expected based on an earlier visit. The waiters should smile and offer a better customer experience. The drainage also needs attention when it rains.

The cake was a wonderful surprise and the high point of our lunch. Ann guided us through the buffet, and the food was on point. The reception was welcoming, and senior hotel management took time out of their busy schedules to say hello and check that the service was good. Judy and I, Patrick, had lunch at The Stanley Sarova Hotel swimming pool restaurant on 3rd March 2026, between 12:00 and 2:00 pm, to celebrate our wedding. We had an awesome time, and we really appreciated everyone helping make the day memorable. We’ll highly recommend Stanley Sarova Hotel to our friends.

I stayed two nights, on 1 and 2 May 2026, and the hospitality was the highlight. The whole team was warm and attentive, and the Indian and Thai food was world-class. The elegant, comfortable setting and care in the details made the stay feel special. Sarova Stanley has the feel of a legacy, with its opening in 1902 and a story in every wall. It’s counted among Africa’s finest and Kenya’s best luxury city hotels. London may have the Koh-i-Noor diamond, but the Nairobi-style hospitality here shines like a diamond in the hotel world. Sarova Stanley is a true gem, with an experience that feels royal and unforgettable.
