We had half board, and the meals were excellent, especially the fish. Dinner let us choose an entree, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. The Karen Golf Club prices were more than reasonable compared with restaurants nearby. The staff were welcoming and professional, and we had fun on the putting green as well as using the gym, pool and sauna. Our spacious studio was clean and comfortable, with bird life around it. Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens is opposite. We loved our stay at The Residences and will definitely return to this hidden gem.

The staff were lovely and ready to help. They even figured out how to heat leftovers we’d brought from a restaurant. Breakfast was very good, and the spa facilities were good too, with really nice massages at an okay price. There are plenty of movie channels on the TV. It was peaceful and green despite being in the city, and quiet at night, with birds to listen to. There was a little traffic noise in the morning. Getting around from there was easy, and the airport is about 40 minutes away. They offer a shuttle, but it’s overpriced. The rooms are quite big, the beds very comfortable, and the shower had proper hot water. The fridge didn’t work very well, which was the main downside. We didn’t use the swimming pool. Just so you know, it’s part of the country club, so occupancy doesn’t depend on how many people are staying at the residency. It’s more of a sports pool than a leisure pool.
