Ulwazi has been a consistently encouraging place to stay. The calm setting works well for both rest and getting things done, and the reception team made me feel at home from arrival: Tracy, Sylvia, Terence and Dennis. The catering and hotel service are reliably excellent, with tasty meals and attentive care. A big shout to chef Depaty, Malcom, Lenox, Moses, jovial Alice, the double sally, purity, the mixing Lilian, Brian, Sammy Godfrey, and the rest of the team in that department. Cecilia, Celestine and the housekeeping team are caring and thorough, and go the extra mile to make guests comfortable. The people-focused management also shows in every part of the stay, especially the work of the amazing Aurelia Wambua. There's always room to improve, and small enhancements could lift an already high standard even further. Ulwazi remains a top choice for comfort, good service and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

We loved how quiet and comfortable it was, and the bed was super comfy. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I also got to enjoy birding from the balcony, and room service brought great food. Try the chapati at breakfast. It's a lovely place to begin or finish a bike trip, and they're storing our bike boxes for us. A dream!

Ulwazi Place feels like a home away from home, thanks to the kind, dedicated team. Chef Lenox is reliable and consistent, and his care and passion show in every meal. Sammy brings a great attitude and professionalism to room service, and always makes sure my breakfast is packed perfectly and delivered with a smile. Thanks as well to General Manager Aurelia for her strong leadership and for inspiring such a great team. Brian, Lilian, Buluku and Supervisor Sarah deserve a special mention for their teamwork, kindness and dedication. Your work is noticed and appreciated. Keep it up!

Waking up to birdsong was a lovely way to start the day. I spent three weeks here on a work trip to Nairobi, and the location worked perfectly because it was close to where I needed to go. My studio had a balcony and enough space to relax, work, and sleep. Good value for the price, and the staff really did their best to make me feel comfortable.
