Urban Point Hotel

The room was spacious, the bed was good, the shower ran hot, and I had a balcony. Soap, shampoo, and shower gel were provided, but there was no kettle for tea or tissues for the face. I stayed two nights and enjoyed how freely people could move around once past the entrance security guard. At other hotels, staff keep asking where you’re going or whether you live there. The staff were very friendly, though 4,000 Kenya for one person doesn’t feel like a normal price.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it.

Everything was 10/10, and the manager was so welcoming. I wish him all the best.

We’d already paid for our tea when it arrived cold at Urban Point Restaurant. We politely asked if it could be warmed, but were told, “Time is up,” even though staff were still there and serving. When I took the tea back and asked what to do with it, the manager snapped, “Didn’t you hear me? We’re closed!” He blamed us for walking away from the tea, though we hadn’t left the table. There was no apology or attempt to help, just a paid cup left behind because of the way we were treated. It was disappointing and frustrating to be met with such rudeness and no responsibility from the manager. This was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had. Urban Point needs serious work on management and customer service, and I can’t recommend it to anyone who expects respect or decent service.
