We had a very pleasant, memorable family stay at Kilima Safari Camp. The tent suites have modern plumbing and amenities, making for a comfortable safari experience, and the Amboseli National Park is only minutes away. The chef takes pride in preparing fresh food, with a good variety of flavorful dishes. Staff were professional and courteous, and the observation tower offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. I’d highly recommend it.

Kilima Lodge is a beautiful property, and the rooms are lovely. The views of Jaro are incredible, especially from rooms 16-19, which I’d request if possible. The pool is fantastic for relaxing after a day out, and the food was exceptional throughout our stay. Compared with Sopa, which is generally seen as the more upscale and expensive choice nearby, I think Kilima gives better value. The Wi-Fi was basically nonexistent, so it may be fine if you want to disconnect, but it probably shouldn’t be advertised as an amenity. The monkeys wandering around add to the experience, though sometimes they got into food areas, which raised questions for me about food safety and handling. It’s a striking lodge in a unique setting, and a few small improvements could make it outstanding.

Being able to see Kilimanjaro and elephants first thing in the morning was a dream. The camp gate is right by the park entrance, and the garden is like a mini-park, with zebras, antelopes, and other animals roaming freely. Just outside the fence, the camp has a waterhole that attracts animals, so elephants and others are often around. We had a wonderful two days here with our family. The rooms were clean and tidy, and sleeping in tents made for a lovely safari experience. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. At every meal, Moses explained things about the camp and told us lots about the wildlife and animals. Thanks for such great service, Moses! Maasai Mike was also very friendly and walked around the property with us. We had great conversations about animals, the environment, and culture. Thank you, Mike, and thanks to the camp for a great stay. Highly recommend!

The staff were welcoming and nice, and the location is good, right by the gate with views of Kilimanjaro. The rooms were okay, though a bit outdated, and the mattress could use replacing. It was also a little annoying that Wi-Fi only worked at reception, not in the restaurant or bar.

This was the best place we stayed on our two-week trip in Kenya. The property and location are fantastic, and our tent rooms were spacious with an awesome view of Kilimanjaro. There were plenty of tasty choices in the huge restaurant, which has a watchtower in the center. The staff were very courteous. The price is on the high side, but I think it’s worth staying here if you visit Kenya. Fantastic property.
