The staff were a real bright spot, always kind, friendly, and helpful, and we even had the unusual experience of seeing zebras as we walked back to our tent. But privacy is limited, and the beds are old and hard. We were badly bitten by bed bugs, which was the worst part of our stay. The food was average, and the chicken was so tough it seemed overcooked or perhaps had been kept for days. Hot water wasn’t always available either. There’s a heater, but when the electricity cuts out, the water gets extremely cold.

The food was flavorful and exceptional, and the camp offered great value for the money. Our tents had their own showers and toilets with hot water. The Masai staff were welcoming. Just remember, this is still camping.

The team provided full service and were incredible, always around to help with whatever we needed. The camp is near the main gate of masai Mara, but also close to a village bar where loud music played through the night. Our rooms were very basic tents, with bathroom areas divided by a wall but no door. There was electricity, though. It was a decent enough place to sleep after a full day on safari.

The food was the real highlight, especially considering the conditions, and it was genuinely delicious. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. We had a tent with a comfy bed, private shower, and toilet.

Sharing meals in such a beautiful setting made the stay even more memorable. The staff serving us were warm, and the chefs took extra care to accommodate different tastes and preferences. Ingredients were fresh, there was plenty of variety, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared, from filling breakfasts to dinners under the stars. Each meal brought together local and international flavors in a way we really enjoyed. The food was one of the best parts of my wonderful time at the camp in Masai Mara, and I’d love to return.
